Imatong Employment Solutions (IES) is a boutique South Sudanese human resource company, registered and operating in South Sudan since 2015.

Set up in response to an identified need to strengthen the human resource sector in South Sudan, we are dedicated to transforming the human resources landscape in the country. We provide quality, holistic HR services to businesses, organizations and job seekers, making HR processes easier, more transparent, fair, and respectful, for all.

IES will provide quality, holistic human resource services for our clients to foster positive HR practices across the organizations we work with ensuring HR works well for employers and employees alike, with a particular focus on local talent. We will lead by example, modeling impeccable HR practices and a positive working environment.

IES’ vision is to contribute to the transformation of the human resources landscape in South Sudan, reducing the challenges of recruitment and human resource management for our clients, and helping job seekers develop their skills and find their ideal jobs.

Our goal is to support the development of fair and transparent HR services in South Sudan and to work with employers and jobseekers to deliver high quality services.

Anna Rowett

Founder and Managing Director

Anna has a background in the international development sector and in organisation development and operations. She has spent the past twelve years living in South Sudan working with South Sudanese NNGOs, INGOs, UN agencies and the private sector in the country. In 2015 she established IES together with Gladys and Ryan.

Anna has built a wide network within the NGO and private sectors in South Sudan and across the region and is knowledgeable about establishing and running organizations. Anna has worked to support HR within national and international organizations in South Sudan and has experience with an international development search company in the UK.

She is well versed in both international and national HR issues; having seen the challenges facing those seeking to operate, recruit and find employment in South Sudan, she is keen to provide effective services to help.

Kiden Gladys Lasu

Founder

Gladys is from South Sudan and completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the USA. She worked in the Health and Nutrition area for almost four years in the USA before she decided to return home to work within the health sector in South Sudan.

While with UNICEF, she provided technical support and assistance to the state ministry of health and other partners in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the health and nutrition projects. In addition, she has rich experience in the recruitment of qualified professionals in newly established programs and filling of vacant positions in the humanitarian sector across South Sudan.

More recently, Gladys has been working overseas in Thailand and Somalia.

Alfred Arike

Administration and Finance Officer

Alfred Arike is an HR and admin assistant with over three years of experience in admin and HR work. He has helped and managed numerous brands’ achievements in office operations and supporting HR. He is organised and has effective communication skills that support the needs of the team. 

Alfred holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Peace and Conflict studies from the Catholic University of South Sudan. He has experience working in different organisations and private companies in South Sudan. He has been working with IES since 2022.

Atong Wol Dhel Thiep

HR and Administration Assistant

Atong is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s in Logistics and Procurement. Prior to that she has four years of experience in the medical field. She joined IES in 2023

Aluel Ajak

Adminsitration Assistant

Aluel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Information Technology. She is a passionate software developer with six months of experience. Aluel started working with IES in March 2024.

Hazel Douglas

Technical advisor

Hazel’s first training was as a youth worker, but she moved into HR work in the 1980s.

She worked for an investment fund in the City of London, the Girl Guides Association and a London Borough before becoming HR Director for OXFAM UK between 1987 and 1991. After a period as a freelance management consultant, coach and trainer, she became co-owner and Managing Director of Oxford HR, at the time the world’s leading head-hunter for international NGOs. She sold the business in 2016. She now consults and coaches for people in her network.

Hazel was a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD) until recently. She has an MSc in Change Management from the University of Surrey, and qualifications in counselling and coaching.

Vicky Kamilo

HR and Business Development Officer

Vicky Amal Pax Kamilo is a dedicated Human Resource and Business Development Officer with a strong background in economics. With a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Vicky has honed her expertise in organizational development, employee relations, and strategic planning.

In her current role at IES, Vicky excels in fostering a positive workplace environment, driving business growth, and implementing effective HR strategies. Her analytical skills and economic insights allow her to navigate complex business challenges and contribute to the overall success of her organization.

Vicky is passionate about continuous learning and professional development, always seeking new ways to enhance her skills and knowledge.
